Acer Aspire One D255

Acer Aspire One D255 Laptop is Acer's first dual-core, and one of the 10-inchers first anywhere to use the Intel Atom processor N550. Laptop Performance benchmark is quite better than single-core competitor. We also like how the design of this portable, even when compared with other lightweight laptops. Acer Aspire One D255 has a design much as 2.4 pounds and 10.1 x 7.3
x 0.95 inches, the D255 is smaller and lighter than competitors like the Eee PC 1215N (11.6 x 8 x 1.4 inches, 3.4 pounds) , Samsung N150 Plus (10.4 x 7.4 x 1.4 inches, 2.8 pounds), and Toshiba NB305 (10.5 x 7.6 x 1.2 inches, 2.8 pounds). When carrying them in our bags, we do not feel heavy.

If you've seen other Aspire One netbook, the Aspire One D255 will look very familiar too you because it shares a thin design, but rather generic. glossy black lid is adorned with the logo of the Aspire One boring and took fingerprints, but so dark you will not see them. Inside, a glossy panel surrounding the screen is very glossy, making it more reflective. There is also a gap between the lid and the base chassis enough to enter the pen through. You'll also find a matte gray deck and island-style keyboard.

Aspire One D255 has a standard array of ports netbooks. On the right is a memory card reader, audio in / out jack, USB port, Kensington lock slot, and Ethernet port. On the left side of the VGA out and two USB ports, for a total of three.

1.3-megapixel Webcam produce blurred images are really washed under fluorescent lights. During Skype calls from our booth, we face completely covered by shadows. When we moved next to the window, image quality is good, but still a little rough.

10.1-inch Aspire One D255's, a 1024 x 600-pixel provided a strong point of view, even though its glossy surface. Even at 45 degrees to the left or right, the picture is rather dark but not wash out. Intel says that Atom N550 enhance high-def video playback, but when we download 3D Saw 720p QuickTime trailer, it feels jerky playback. 720p full screen streaming Flash video from Fox.com and another of YouTube, however, is subtle.

The audio quality of the bottom-mounted speakers are loud enough to fill a room, although a bit loud when we stream "The Train" by the Gap Band from Napster. Unfortunately, when we move the pointer around during audio playback, we sometimes see some distortion as the audio itself seems to slow down at times.
